About the Village
The village is situated in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh and lies close to the Tamil Nadu border. The village has two parts / colonies separated by half a kilometer. One part of the village lies at the intersection of the Katpadi - Tirupati railway line and the Chennai - Mumbai National Highway (NH 4). The other part of the village lies near the Bommasamudram railway station. As a result, the village is well connected by road and rail to the nearby urban centers of Chittoor, Vellore and Katpadi. A number of buses that journey from the cities of Chennai and Vellore to Chittoor and Bangalore (and vice versa) stop at Nangamangalam. A few trains that journey from Katpadi to Tirupati and Chittoor (and vice versa) halt at the Bommasamudram railway station.
The village comes under the Gudipala Mandal of Chittoor District and falls under the Chittoor assembly constituency and Chittoor parliamentary constituency. The village is flanked by a few hills and hillocks. A sacred hillock named Zion Hill, housing a sacred Chapel, is situated near the village. It is known in the region for an annual Christian festivity that takes place in the month of may. The new building and campus for the Thiruvalluvar University was set up recently at a nearby village called Serkadu, which lies within the state of Tamil Nadu.
Agriculture is the main source of occupation and income for the villagers here. Sugarcane, Groundnut, Rice, Coconut etc... are cultivated. State Bank of India has a branch office in Nangamangalam with an ATM center.Few villagers are also employed in the nearby schools, colleges and in the few industries that have come up over the years. Over the years a number of villagers, especially those who are educated, have migrated to places where non-agrarian jobs are available more.

If not many are visiting, submitting my site to search engines will guide more traffic to my site.
